More than 45,000 make up New Generation Latinos

More than 45,000 young professional Latinos throughout the Chicago area are members of the 10-year-old online Chicago Latino Network.
Founder Jaime Viteri sends out online newsletters — in English — about professional and social events to members, another sign of the growth of the young English-speaking Latino demographic.

“More and more I think this group is going to be of importance to marketers,” Viteri said of what he calls New Generation Latinos, or English-speaking Hispanics who still identify strongly with their Latino heritage. “The audience are people who work downtown, consume in English and consume arts and culture .”
